I have built up a pretty strong commercial background that includes blue chip FMCG experience with Rothmans International PLC and more recently over 26 years experience at board level within the franchise special events industry.

Widely recognised as one of the most successful franchising strategies working today, I have advised over 90 UK franchisors and personally recruited well over 1900 start-up franchisees and several hundred resales.

Recommending franchise structures, fees and processes for both new and established franchisors and managing numerous franchise launches and recruitment campaigns has given me a comprehensive understanding of all franchise issues and access to a skill set that is invaluable to any new or established Franchisor.

I have run “franchising your business” seminars on behalf of the Bradford Chamber of Commerce and Business Link as part of their “Masterclass” program of specialist events and also on behalf of several leading law firms in conjunction with other industry experts and major high street banks including The Royal Bank of Scotland and NatWest. I have also been a jointly appointed expert witness in Franchisor v Franchisee legal disputes and managed dozens of mediation cases.

Over many years now I have also provided industry comment, articles, editorial and advertorial content to most of the franchise media including, The Daily Mail, The Daily Express, Franchise Opportunities magazine, Franchise Focus magazine, Business Franchise magazine, The Franchise magazine, Franchise Options (Ireland), The Chamber of Commerce members newsletter “Business Plus” and also Franchise Life.

It’s taken a while but I have now clocked up an amazing tally of well over 2,500 domestic franchise sales for numerous brands since 1992 worth tens of £££ millions in initial fees and significantly more in ongoing revenue and royalty. In doing so I have handled start ups, restarts and hundreds of franchise resales covering everything from the initial valuation of the franchise through to the marketing and the actual mechanics of the re-sale process from both the franchisor and the franchisees perspective. You’ll also find me carrying out numerous pure consultancy tasks for UK & Eire based brand owners.

Internationally I have established overseas representation for several brands by setting up franchise, licensing, distributorship and agency agreements depending on the specific circumstances. My overseas experience also includes the compilation of feasibility studies and reports for several companies in the USA.

It’s nice to have now become a sought after franchise professional. I can’t say it’s been easy but following a string of successful events, launches and brands behind me my reputation is a solid one. Along the way I have also put my money where my mouth is as a private investor with diverse equity interests in several other businesses.
